## The Home Energy Saver loan, explained.

The NSW Government's Home Energy Saver program gives eligible households access to zero-interest loans of up to $15,000 to cover solar, battery storage, and other energy-saving home upgrades — repayable over up to 10 years, with no establishment or account-keeping fees. It's a loan, not a grant, so the full amount is repaid — just without any interest charged.

What's Covered

The loan covers rooftop solar panels, home battery storage, reverse-cycle air conditioning, heat pump hot water, ceiling insulation, draught-proofing, DC ceiling fans, switchboard upgrades, and EV chargers.
